Gabrielle Stevens

Gabrielle Stevens-Benitt, a native of Cleveland Ohio, wanted to work with animals ever since she was 5 years old and was involved with animals in one way or another.  From owning several cats, dogs and snakes to shadowing veterinarians in animal hospitals witnessing a C section on a bulldog amongst other surgeries, to witnessing spaying or neutering many cats and dogs at the age of 13 to name a few.

Gabrielle started working with pets when she turned 16 at the Cleveland Metro zoo. When she turned 18, to be closer to animals, she applied as a cashier and because of her love for pets, she was hired in the grooming salon. Her potential was so undeniable so she was advanced through grooming classes and graduated from PetSmart’s grooming academy to start her grooming career while she continued focusing on her associates’ degree in chemistry. She took further interest in grooming when she realized she can make a career out of it.

Gabrielle moved to Henderson and continued to work for PetSmart, private salons and ended up as a trainer and salon manger in Henderson Nevada for Petco. While in Henderson Nevada, she got involved with adoption groups and began fostering cats and dogs until they found a forever home. For a year, she was asked to move to Saint George Utah, as grooming salon manager for Petco, to help build up sales and train the grooming salon staff for the store.  As she accomplished her task and the salon started to grow, she moved back to Henderson NV, and continued training and developing groomers and running a salon.  She has successfully trained many groomers in her tenure as a trainer and mentored many others.

“I am very excited to be able to contribute more to this industry as a part of John Paul PetSalon & PetSchool and plan to keep motivating & aspiring new Stylists-in Training to learn more about this great industry, especially how to properly and affectively build a career out of something that they love. Working with animals, has always been a passion of mine and has become a part of my life forever”
